Dr. Chima Amadi's outstanding contributions to human and community development initiatives have earned him the prestigious Imo Man of the Year Award by Nigeria Today Magazine. This recognition is a tribute to his tireless efforts to make a positive impact in his community and beyond.
The award ceremony, held at the Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Conference Centre in Abuja, was attended by dignitaries including Vice-President His Excellency Sen. Kashim Shettima and Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass. Dr. Amadi was represented by his political associates, including former federal legislator Rt. Hon. Ozurigbo Ugonna (OZB), who described him as a man with a "bouyant heart for charity and love for humanity".
Dr. Amadi's initiatives have had a profound impact on his community, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. His ₦200 million Yuletide Philanthropy, launched in November, aims to provide scholarships, healthcare services, and economic support to thousands of beneficiaries in the Owerri zone ¹.
The Outstanding Performance Awards (TOP AWARDS) 2024, organized by Nigeria Today Magazine, recognized Dr. Amadi's achievements alongside other notable awardees, including Nigerian Senate President H.E. Sen. Godswill Akpabio and Prof. Charles Soludo. The event featured a keynote lecture by Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, who emphasized the importance of strategic economic reforms in Nigeria's quest for sustainable development.
